Lifeguard on Duty (“Lifeguard on Duty,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Customer Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you purchase pool safety products from us, contact our team, sign up for updates, or otherwise interact with our website, stores, and customer service channels (collectively, the “Services”). It also describes the privacy rights available to residents of the United States, including specific rights for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”).

This Policy applies to personal information we collect from customers and prospective customers in the United States in connection with our pool safety products and related Services. It does not apply to information collected by third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked to or from our Services, which are governed by their own privacy practices.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you place an order, request a quote, register an account, sign up for our newsletter or product updates, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. The categories of personal information we collect include:

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric information, health information, or other categories of “sensitive personal information” through our customer interactions. If our practices change, we will update this Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without appropriate parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.

  • Right to correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. Although we do not sell or share your personal informatio for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may submit a request to confirm this preference.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of yourprivacy rights.

You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP to any message.

10. Notice to California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA provides you with the rights described in Section 9 above. This section provides additional disclosures required by California law.

Categories of personal information collected (last 12 months)

Sources of information. We collect the categories above directly from customers, from service providers supporting our operations, and automatically through routine website activity logs

Business purposes for collection. Order fulfillment, customer service, account administration, marketing (with consent), product safety communications, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Recipients of personal information. Service providers as described in Section 5; legal authorities when required by law; and parties to a business transfer, subject to confidentiality protections.

No sale or sharing. Lifeguard on Duty has not sold or shared the personal information of California residents in the preceding twelve (12) months.

How to submit a CCPA/CPRA request

California residents may submit a verifiable consumer request by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-800-000-0000. We will need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, which may include confirming information you have previously provided to us. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, in which case we will require written authorization and may verify the agent’s identity. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by law (generally within 45 days, with the possibility of one 45-day extension where reasonably necessary).

11. Notice to Residents of Other U.S. States

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including, where applicable, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others — may have rights similar to those described in Section 9. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond consistent with the requirements of your state’s law.
